Top 5 Favourite | Podcasts

Podcasts have become a bit of a recent staple in my life whether I'm working on a blog post, tidying the house or simply trying to fall asleep - they're something I now need. I've found a few that meet every mood and an alternative to the amazing Serial.

Jules and Sarah
Fancy a chat with friends, but no one's available? This is your go-to. Hosted by Jules Von Hep and Sarah Powell, these pals just chat about everything and anything - stories from their past, news from up North and life in general. I love it as it's a true reflection of friendship and the general shit I'd discuss with my own babes. If you haven't subscribed to Jules' YouTube channel, do. Please be my friend.
Upload every Friday morning on iTunes.

Dear Sugar Radio
Anybody else love reading agony aunt articles? I feel I've challenged me and resulted in so many pensive internal debates with myself. Cheryl Strayed (author of 'Wild') and Steve Almond were both advice columnists for a literary site The Rumpus.
Listeners write in with complex issues and the two hosts beautifully and articulately delve into, featuring wonderful insightful guests to help. It's such a compelling podcast, which has taught me so much about myself as well as how to think and analyse, for which I'm grateful. Their soothing, sultry voices are a bonus too.
Upload every Friday.

Filler Podcast
Something for the creatives and the creators out there.  Every week, Harry and Matt will sit down with various great influencers from YouTubers to film makers and discuss their perspectives and previous experiences. Still somewhat findings its feet in terms of production, but I kind of like the realness of it all. Insightful and motivating.
Upload every Sunday.

Lore
OK, probably the eeriest and darkest of my choices and maybe not one I'd opt for when home alone. Aaron Mahnke tells many a dark folktale, all of which are true, filled with facts that will make you question humanity. Mahnke is a fan of the art of storytelling and it really comes across in the episodes.
Upload every other Monday.

Tanis
Now...where do I start? Utterly compelling, creepy and the definition of mysterious. "It's a docudrama about a fascinating and surprising mystery: the myth of Tanis". Described as a holy grail, a person and rarely seen. But what is it? Your guess is as good as mine. Follow a small team try discover the legend of Tanis and what it holds.
Upload bi-weekly.

What are your favourite podcasts? I'm always on the look out for more.
